I have been school For almost a month now and today my class went to go see the preschoolers. When we got to their room, laughter and noise filled the room. Kids were playing with castles to farm animals. Dress up to building things. We went to go play with them. I love playing with little kids! I decided to go play with the kids that were playing with farm animals. There were 2 girls and 1 boy. As I was playing with them, I noticed that they were smiling and laughing and having fun like any preschooler would. I MEAN WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO PLAY WITH FARM ANIMALS..RIGHT? More laughter filled the room. Now there were these boys in my class that decided to play "dress up" with each other. As I was watching them I couldn't help but laugh. Now that I think about, today everyone is so caught up with how they look and what they do that we can never just "have fun". We rather stress about what we are going to wear or if we get enough likes on a post. These preschoolers didn't care about what they were wearing or how they acted....they just wanted to have fun.....and that's what they did. As I look now when the boys were playing "dress up" they didn't care about what they were doing at that point.. they were having fun. Now we obviously want to take care of ourselves and not get in trouble, but lets not make it where that is all we care about. After seeing the preschoolers I learned a lot. I learned to not get to caught up in what I look like, but more of what my heart looks like. HAVE FUN...DON'T STRESS SO MUCH ABOUT YOUR OUTWARD APPEARANCE! GOD LOVES YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!

Wow, Alyssa. What a heartfelt post. I am so glad you had an "aha" moment in school today. God so oftentimes does speak to us in the unlikeliest of places :) I love you!
ReplyDeleteGreat advice many would be wise to pay attention to.
ReplyDeleteThis makes my heart happy! I love having fun and could care less what I look like doing it! Being childlike is so refreshing. Can't wait to see you again so we can be goofy together, lol. :)
