We are told
to encourage others.
So encourage
each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. 1 Thessalonians
5: 11
Notice that
it says “just as you are already doing”…we should ALREADY be WILLING AND
WANTING to encourage OTHERS.
EVEN IF YOU…
- Don’t get a “thank you”
- Don’t get an encouraging word from that person
- Don’t like that person
- Don’t feel like itMANY OTHER REASONS TOO!
So the next
time someone wins something- don’t be like “I deserve to win” or “You cheated”-
remember to encourage him or her and to say “Great Job” or “You deserved it”.
Because not being nice or encouraging to others…causes strife later on.
MAYBE, you are the type of person that doesn’t
think they can be encouraging when he or she DOESN’T win. BUT, you can, and I
have the PROOF right here:
You do very well at encouraging and complimenting others Alyssa! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteWe will never know the true power an encouraging word brings to another. The word spoken today not only affects that person but possibly future generations as well! Great post!
